I have used the skip-hop diaper bag since Landon turned 1. I used to be such an over packer, I could never get down how to pack the diaper bag or couldn’t get things situated right. And I for one am not one to pack a bag every time I want to leave the house I just want to grab the bag and go. So I am going to share my diaper bag essentials and how I pack them.
Pin this to save for later
In the front two open pockets, I keep 2 diapers for Avery and 2 Pull-ups for Landon. If I know we are going to be gone longer than like 3 hours I will grab extras on the way out the door. In the front Zipper pocket, I keep a bib and extra socks for both Landon & Avery and a pack of wipes.
In the side pockets sits the bottle and sippy cup I got from Walmart. In the back big pocket, I keep a changing matt, That honestly, (NEVER GETS USED) But I keep it there just in case.
In the big middle pocket, I keep extra outfits in a ziplock bag. A sealed bottle of water. A couple small toys. And 4 or 5 snacks sized bags of Post Oreo O’s .
My kids love them and they have come in handy more times than to count. Every time I go to Walmart I pick up another box.
Along with a wet bag because who knows when you will need somewhere to put poopy clothes.
In the hidden zipper pocket on the top, I keep hand sanitizer, a small hand lotion, some chapstick, and some scented plastic bags for dirty diapers.
I have learned through trial and error on what to pack and what not to pack. This method I’ve been using has never left me stranded on not having something I need and has kept me from wasting time packing a bag for the babies when trying to get out the house.
